But it was not the same case with the left back.Stats are taken from their league, not from cup matches or Champions League
1.Andy robertson from liverpool
The scottish captain has assisted 7 times this season most by any left back till March and scored a goal.Robertson is just a complete left back player who can go forward and cover the distance back while defending he has been truly sensation, and the thing he looks sensational is he don't have much of competition like in right back it was very hard to decide who is the best.He with trent alexander arnold has formed a terrific partnership at the full back, we often dont see full back creating a chances but with they are creating a lot of chances. They have the vision and passing accuracy which finds liverpool forward and eventually they get success in finding the back of a net
Now talking about the next 3 position it was a more difficult choice to make
2.Marcos Alonso from chelsea
Not a choice any pundit will make but the spainish had been given very less time according to his goal contribution tally he has scored 4 goals which is more than andy robertson which is number one on list. And has assisted 3 times in this season in the premier league. He has also performed well apart from statistics which sometime dont tell the whole truth.
3. Marc Cucurella from Getafe
Another great player which is underrated probably because he doesn't play for the so called big club but has assisted on 5 occasion and scored once and the biggest mistake Barcelona had made is loaning him again this season (previously loaned to Eibar). He has emerged as a top player. And i can see Getafe buying him from barcelona for just 6 million euro and will probably sell him to a bigger club and chelsea are among the front runners for him. The only positive is Barcelona would be getting 40% of his sale.
4.Alex sandro from Juventus
The player with the least goal contribution just 2 assists on this list but he is performing very well, he is a proper left back and who can remain deep inside his own half and can defend quite well and he has played 81% of the match in the starting line up in serie A which shows how well the brazilian has maintained his fitness.
The notable absentee is Alphonso davies he has been absolutely sensational as well but because of performing for only season I had left him out of the list.
Conclusion :-The answer is Andy Robertson from liverpool and he has earned every right to get the tag of the best left back and he's has showed us he is not the one season wonder by performing Sensationally well in two season
Our left full back JORDI ALBA and JUNIOR FIRPO dont make to the list alba has been injured and firpo has not been able to convince barca fan and also his behaviour outside the pitch has also come under some kind of criticism.
