The title of this post is not any clickbait, first team Barcelona fc player plays their matches in the Camp nou Stadium, and it is the biggest stadium in the Europe. Along with jersey selling, museum visited by the fans, a major chunk of money raises from the ticket sales and with the Camp nou capacity approximately 100k, Barcelona earns major money by their ticket sales. But as there are some benefits of big stadium, there are some drawback like the maintainance of such a huge stadium, lighting, security and the list goes on.
But because it has been speculated that we can see the fans in the stadium in the end of ...2021 (or maybe little early than that if situation gets better), and till that time all the European league will be playing the matches behind the closed door. And if there will be no fans then it wouldn't matter where do you play in a 100k capacity stadium or 6k capacity stadium.
Barcelona B team plays in Segunda B the third division in Spanish league. And their home stadium is
JOHAN CRUFF STADIUM which has 6k capacity.
Some of the advantages that can be get while playing in the B team stadium are:
1.) Johan cruff stadium has aprroximately same dimension as Camp nou.Both the stadium field size is (105X68) As our playing style is playing little wide with the full backs Johan Cruff stadium will suit our team.
2.) It is closer to training center than Camp nou.And it would be best for everyone to travel as less as possible because of pandemic.
3.) And having only 6k capacity in the stadium will reduce the maintainance such as security issues, lighting.
But it has not been confirmed by any official source this has emerged as earlier in a study it was found that fans can return to the stadium at the end of 2021. It should be consider as a choice because the above points are valid and this can help Barcelona financially by playing in a smaller stadium till when fans can't attend match. But if first team Barcelona will play in Johan cruff stadium then where will Barcelona B play? This remains the question and if Barcelona really wants to play in Johan cruff stadium they can manage this situation as well.
And according to reports in Germany Bundesliga can return in action from 8 may. If it will return from 8 May almost every bundesliga teams have to play 9 matches more to complete their season. If bundesliga return it will be a big challenge to handle the fans as we have seen that over the years German teams have the most attendance of the fans. And the last match before the complete lockdown, we saw in France , Paris how PSG fan were outside the stadium to celebrate the win of their team.Everybody will be happy if football returns and become more happy if we see any of the top five europe league return.
