FC Barcelona reaching an agreement to sign Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic in a swap deal for Semedo?

There has been lot of talks about Juventus swaping Pjanic, not only for barcelona players but players from Premier league also specially Jorginho. It seems like Juventus wants to get rid of him. The reason which I see, they want to offload Pjanic is because of his huge salary. He is the third biggest earner at Juventus after Cristiano and De ligt. He was earning 225-250k euro per week before football was suspended. Also he is a 30 year old. And his deal with Juventus is until 2023, it means that he has 3 more years contract remaining with Juventus. Previously, there was huge Rumours reagarding swap deal between Arthur Melo of Barcelona and Pjanic, but after Arthur publicly said that "I see my future at Barcelona and have some unfinished business at barcelona". After this statement, he cleared that he won't go anywhere and hence, the swap deal rumours have also been gone.

Now, talking about 

the swap between Pjanic and Semedo, to me it seems totally ridiculous. Semedo is a right back

, who is 26 years old and is going to enter his prime year,on the other hand, Pjanic is a midfielder,

30 years old who has passed his prime, and is also injury prone. You are talking about swapping players who play at completely different position. Barcelona do have a right back player in form of Sergio Roberto but he lacks speed, which everyone of us agree. Also Barcelona don't have any pacy player at wings right now. Semedo is only the one who runs fast in the wings.

Juventus to sign Nelson Semedo for €25m plus Miralem Pjanic and Mattia De Sciglio.

If this is what Juventus are offering barcelona for Semedo, this offer is worth thinking because you will be getting 25 million euro which you can use to buy Semedo's alternative. You would also get De sciglio who play as a right back for Juventus but he has been in their starting eleven for less than 20% of matches and you don't know he deserves to be a starter at barcelona. But I don't think Juventus will offer Pjanic, De sciglio + 25 million euro for Semedo. According to transfermarkt, Pjanic value is at 52 million euro, De sciglio value is 9.5 million euro. Adding all the three would sum to 86.5 million euro. And Nelson Semedo's is valued around 32 million.  Post-corona transfer market will change, every team would think twice to spend every single penny. And Juventus are very good in transfer market, they won't overpay.  Transfermarkt is a very good source which determines players value but I think Pjanic at 30 years old is not worth anywhere near 52 million euro. Also I don't think Juventus are valuing Pjanic close to 52 million euro, they must be valuing him around 25-35 million euro. This whole analysis points toward one direction that this Juventus have not offered barcelona this much. 

Now, one talk show in Netherlands say that Barcelona are interested in Sergiono Dest. Now when people heard this news they started to connect both the stories, and they made a new story out of it, that out of 25 million euro we would buy Dest at 20 million euro and our problem would be solved. 

My opinion

Juventus are one of the most clever club when it comes to transfer market, what seems realistic to me is that they might have offered Pjanic and de sciglio but no money. 

Any day, I won't be happy if this deal happen becuase, let's be honest De sciglio is nowhere near the level of Nelson Semedo.

About Sergiono Dest, he had given 5 assists in Eredivisie compared to Nelson Semedo's 3 assists. But Dest needs some more time to be a starter at barcelona. 

And the most important point, where will Pjanic play if we sign him. If we are able to sell Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, then too we would have plenty of midfielder in team, Frenkie de Jong, Sergi Busquets, Arthur Melo. Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are planning to give Riqi Puig and Carles Alena a first team contract. Also as situation stands, there is a high chance that Coutinho will come back from Bayern and join Barcelona. That makes 6 midfielders. Barcelona plays in a 4-3-3 formation, we alrady have plenty of midfielder. Barcelona board should start thinking what they really wants to do, instead of making Defensive moves, board only wants to sign big player names who are 30 or 30+, are slow and past their prime. Board should understand that they are not making any movies or web series in which they need to cast (have) only  big names.
